Candace Jackson is an award-winning journalist who spent more than a decade as a staff writer for the Wall Street Journal. She has written hundreds of stories across a range of beats -- from art to travel to real estate -- including numerous front page features and profiles.  She's appeared regularly on TV and radio programs to discuss her work and related topics. 

Recently, she's been off on a freelance adventure, contributing to publications like the New York Times, San Francisco magazine and Surface. (You can find a sampling of her recent and past work on this website.)

Candace graduated from New York University and has a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. Originally from Minneapolis, Minn., she spent many years in New York City before decamping to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she now lives with her husband and two young children in Oakland.
